Even the men are better than 2 for 70 on the power play.
I heard we got one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!But I have not seen it until just now. 1-1 and we needed that badly before the end of the period
Jenny makes pies-peanut butter, chocolate, and incredible cheesecakes. But i cannot recall her making cookies in years.
But it is still easier on the eyes to watch some of these girls. And if jen sees this post i will deny I made it and attribute it to someone else
1 Melanson (Neal) power play

i think Melanson got this PP goal. If he got the credit for the one against QU(and that was absolutely positively a goal) that would be two PP goals in a row. having watched him in high school I sort of knew what to expect from him but he has surprised me with his added muscle and strength against the boards and his toughness in front of the net. he has added something to his game that was questionable for me. I always knew he had more speed than anyone I had seen since Kelly Askew. every game he has at least one rush up ice that puts an opponent back on their heels. It just opens up the ice for us and gives our defense and goalie a few extra seconds without having to deal with constant pressure. Putting him with Nanne and Miller is just a wonderful move by coach A. If that line can stay healthy and together teams are going to have to figure out how to deal with them.
Yes, it should have been his second goal! Actually we have discovered Redd's Apple Ale going well with her pies. She has found they make a strawberry Ale and both are a bit addictive. Keep in mind, we are not usually beer drinkers.Would you recommend something good to drink with her pies? Maybe a little Riesling?
Oh, Melanson scores his second goal of the season to tie it up!
In hockey uniforms?
The crowd is so small and/or subdued that we are hearing too much music... and I've heard no Brass Bonanza tonight in Hartford.![]()
Kelly was incredibly exciting to watch and yes, he lost control of the puck on more breakaways than anyone I ever saw. But his speed was really effective and was even used on the point on power plays because he could get back and defend any breaks the other way. BTW-push comes to shove, I think Melanson is faster than Askew was and he jmay well have the fastest first 2 strides I have ever seen. he also seems to skate with his stick out and on the ice to cover and disrupt so much more. we will have to see if he progresses as he plays more but even though i expected him to do well, I still had the question of strength against the bigger boys in the NCAA.He is not as out of control as Askew always seemed to be.
