In the last two games, we have proved that we can compete with the best in the ECAC. Lets not let that go to our heads and finish off this weekend with a win at Colgate.
We continue to play without two of our best offensive weapons, and now without our top offensive defenseman. The team has a lot of guts and it shows every night.

Lets go RED!!!!!!!!!!

It helps to have a goal tender who is a brick wall with a save percentage among the highest we have had at RPI. Wish he did not have to face as many shots as he saw last night and that we can exert constant offensive pressure to keep the puck at the other end of the rink. Tonight is huge for several reasons not the least of which is trying to move up to a home ice position in the first round of the playoffs. A win puts a lot of pressure on the 3 teams directly above us in the standings and also would give us a season record against traveling partners (Cornell/Colgate) without a loss.

It's interesting to me that the boys can (willingly or not) play this rope-a-dope strategy and find enough holes in the dam to score goals. Hopefully they will be a little more offense first tonight, and take it to the Raiders. And their perseverance is something we have not seen in Troy for a long time. LGR!

I totally agree with your rope-a-dope comment.
They do a great job keeping shots to the outside, but as a fan, it is killing me.

Obviously we are now scoreboard watching as we jockey for position and possible home ice in the first round. most games are straight forward as we hope for Cornell to rebound tonight. But do we have a team to root for in the Brown - Dartmouth game? The betting mavens have this one pegged as a tie (similar to our game with Colgate tonight).
