RPI @ SLU: Saturday, Nov. 5th

Re: RPI @ SLU: Saturday, Nov. 5th

After 8 1/3 games of the season we just have had no one step up and be able to finish for us. We have not found the replacement for what we had the past few years with Chase on the ice. I had hoped the freshman class with give us one player with that ability-unfortunately 2 of the boys are out hurt and we just have to give them time to get back on the ice. But it certainly does not seem like anyone in the sophmore-junior-senior classes can play that role. It is really tough to have to depend on defense and goaltending for 60 minutes every night to pitch a shutout to win. Still early in the season but the offense needs an enema.

I am just waiting for Shroeder to put one in. He gets himself in the right place at the right time, but has not been able to finish. Once he gets one, I think he will get a bunch. JMO

The shots were 6-5 in SLU's favor in the first period. Not many for either team.

If this crop of freshman does not bring forward some finishing skills it will indeed be a long year. I do not expect much scoring from the seniors or juniors.

SLU penalty number 3-make them pay-very important next 2 minutes for us

I'm with you...Schroeder reminds me a lot of Chase. He'll get there--hopefully it's soon!

We can come back from 2-0, as long as we don't give up...I think that's been a problem sometimes.

RPI penalty number 4-as Murphy always finds a way to put us down 2 men for long periods of time
