RPI@SLU game 2 3/14/15Tough loss last

Re: RPI@SLU game 2 3/14/15Tough loss last

tough loss last night. Bounce back game.
LGR.

ehf, thanks for starting the second of our three threads this weekend! There will be a third thread.

Tonight is a bounce back game. We will win tonight. I believe in our coach and our guys.

Despite last night's bad deflection, we skated with the #2 seed in the tourney. No question, we belong. Now let's take game 2.

LGR!

Re: RPI@SLU game 2 3/14/15Tough loss last

I am told we played one of our best games last night and especially in the opening 20 minutes. We needed to grab the lead and we did not. Two great goalie performances and the team that finds a way to win more often did exactly that last night. Very proud of our boys. They played their hearts out. Tonight could be the most difficult game to predict what we will see. They could (and no one can blame them) come out after a very disappointing loss with very little left in the tank. or they could come out energized by the fact that they know they cam so close last night. Anyone who can predict which we see with absolute assurance please send me 6 numbers for the next Powerball Lottery.
Whatever many of us thought of this season, the past 4 games of the playoffs is why many of us remain RPI loyalists. Let's Go R3/14/15!!!!!!

Re: RPI@SLU game 2 3/14/15Tough loss last

Hayton played like a 6x4 slab of concrete with a SLU jersey on; that's going to happen. Although we may not get the insane even-up calls that happened in game 2 of the 08-09 Cornell series, let's make the end result of those two games happen here.

BTW, DrD, 6, 12, 19, 27, 41, powerball number of 33. :D

Re: RPI@SLU game 2 3/14/15Tough loss last

I don't recall him being injured.
Ralph: He was not out on the ice on the last shift when SLU scored although two of his linemates were. Did not think much of it when i saw the final scoresheet but i do now. At the most important last shift of regulation, if his line was out and he wasn't? Something had to have happened.

You guys are absolutely spot on with feeling good about RPI's performance last night. Certainly had me on the edge of my seat throughout the game, luckily Hayton was up to the task.

Tonight is also certainly a coin flip. While I'm optimistic that SLU will clinch, nothing is given, especially in the playoffs.

No changes for SLU lineup tonight. Let's do this thing.

It's a bit of a different look for us tonight. Melanson, although only a freshman, adds just so much energy to his line(and is both the leading goal scorer and leading point scorer). If he is hurt and does not go, that line becomes totally different. I happen to love what Gillespie brings to the ice. But how he meshes with that line will be important. This is a 4 line game and against a quality team like SLU that brings it to you with each line, you cannot afford to have one line not able to play against them. I would love your prediction of a toss up to be correct but i am just not so sure. Also, remember, you guys are playing a team that had their hearts broken with 51 seconds left in the game and there is no one who can tell you how that will affect their play tonight. This one could just as easily be another 1-0 nailbiter or a 7-0 blowout.

As said previous times, WRPI has no one on the schedule at this time. Someone comes in specially to in-board hockey.

I am using my lap top today and having lots of problems.

Does anyone know SLU's audio address?

All true, Doc.

It's been a very nice luxury for us this season, knowing we have 4 very capable lines (and 3 nice D pairings), as opposed to the past handful (or more) seasons.

The bold section is more what I meant with the coin flip statement. None of us really knows how SLU will play with the opportunity to advance, or how RPI will play with their season on the line (again). Particularly with the ending last night. Hope both teams give us an enjoyable game with no major complaints or concerns from either fan base tonight.

Re: RPI@SLU game 2 3/14/15Tough loss last

I'll be shocked if RPI takes game 2. We don't seem to be a very good "heat of the moment" team. Probably why we haven't been to the semis in 13 years; I'm thinking it will end up at least 14.
