Re: Rpi@slu 1/27/17

I think that Cornell is hosting return of their '67 championship team. Against Harvard, who else?

No SLU band at Appleton? Cheesy 80's music. C'mon Eileen??? No music at a liberal arts school? Even Clarkson has a (narrow) band.

Who is Eileen?

Have they ever had one?

Ditto. I was going to switch away for awhile but you can pick up a lot from his comments. Loved his comment on playing the Soviets and the 88 Canadian Olympic team. (They were good, but the NHL didn't think they were good enough. Gotta keep 'em humble...)

His knowledge was great but I was listening in the car and wondering when they'd get back to broadcasting tonight's play-by-play.

Considering they have a video feed, it's quite OK they don't say every little thing. Although they do simulcast radio...

Have they changed the rule on an offsides pass from the defensive end? In the old days that would go back to the point of the pass, but the announcers seemed genuinely surprised when they did it in this game.

I thought it might have been intentional; I didn't see it was a home-run pass...
