RPI @ SHU in Bridgeport, 10/12/13

Re: RPI @ SHU in Bridgeport, 10/12/13

The good-just about everything. Scored a short handed goal, a power play goal. Special teams pitched a shutout. Goaltending excellent as expected. Defense made rare if any mistakes. Outshot them by a wide margin and put this game awy early. No nail biting tight finish here.
The bad-how the heck do we take this many penalties when ahead by so much? SA will most certainly address that with the boys.
On to BC-where we find out really where this team stands. Go Red!!!!

Re: RPI @ SHU in Bridgeport, 10/12/13

I thought maybe Sacred Heart last year... unless that was 6-1 or something.

i recall several 6-0 games in the past but nothing in the past few years-as I mentioned i though Yale on the road 10 years ago-I know UNH on the road in the late 90's when Tapper had a hat trick.

Great start to the 2013/14 season. Only lost concentration for a couple of minutes in the third period.
Easily beat a team we were supposed to beat. (we don't always do that).
Need to work on our 5 on 3 play, but other than that we were good. Kasdorf starts the season with a shutout.
Tomorrow we find out how we play against a team that should probably beat us.
Come out and play 60 minutes against BC and we will be ok.

Two years ago, Acadia 7-0 (but that's 7 and an exhibition)
The last time was 2003-04, the year before I started at RPI. Beat both Army and at Yale 6-0.

By my calcualtion-Reno was +4 today and Curadi +3. Not a bad start for the duo.
Dude-I had asked about 6-0 against an NCAA team. Exhibitions as you know do not count.

Well said. QFT.

Skate our game, be physical, accountable and roll some lines.

Re: RPI @ SHU in Bridgeport, 10/12/13

just back from the game. Yes, Reno was a +4 and played much, much better than last week. I'll tell ya, someone's going to have to really step up their game to get Jake Wood out of the lineup. The, "Wrecking Ball', was all over (in a controlled fashion) the ice, making things miserable for SHU. I like that line; Rogic/Miller/Wood. Rogic took a puck to the neck/shoulder blade in the 2nd and was receiving treatment on the bench but he looked ok the rest of the way. Kazzy was squared to the shooter all afternoon and steered his rebounds where he wanted. Boy, Luke has really come a long way since Day 1. SHU is not a bad Team. They played a good game but you could see the difference in talent on the ice. I can see them causing trouble for Teams who might take them lightly. Glad I made the trip. Next up BC....BRING IT!

Re: RPI @ SHU in Bridgeport, 10/12/13

I thought this game was in Bridgeport to increase attendance. Kurt said only about 150 there. Our women had more fans yesterday.
boxscore said 460 (?)..... Not! Kurt was probably about right....it was very poor. Good thing RPI people came or it would've been less than 50.
