RPI @ SHU (10/12) and BC (10/13)

Re: RPI @ SHU (10/12) and BC (10/13)

I know this is RPI thread so I won't say anything but it's mind boggling to me why Linell is on the blue line.

This is not meant to be an RPI thread. I start weekly threads for games against our opponents in order to promote discussion. It doesn't always work, but I am stubborn. :)

Re: RPI @ SHU (10/12) and BC (10/13)

Who would BC suspect would start in net? I'd assume not Brian Billett, but I could be wrong.

So RPI will be playing a 1-0 Sacred Heart tomorrow afternoon. Don't think to many people saw that coming. I think it's a great thing for RPI, there's no way they can overlook this game now.

It sounds like UML overlooked them.

Re: RPI @ SHU (10/12) and BC (10/13)

the Hubster told me last week that SH's goalie was a good one. A transfer from Vermont... http://www.ctpost.com/sports/article/Vazzano-transferring-to-SHU-eager-to-begin-3617920.php

Talk about goalies:
- SH only gave up two goals or less twice all last season and now right out of the box, they limit UML to one. (That should make you sit up and take notice.)
- Bowling Green tied Union tonight. Sounds like BG goalie had quite a third period vs Union power play. Union's starting goalie played less than a period; collision with a UML period, is a game day decision for 2nd game vs BGSU.

Re: RPI @ SHU (10/12) and BC (10/13)

You actually picked HE to be 12-4 in the NC games... and you think that Maine is going into Canton and sweeping SLU! Canton is a tough place to win. I would put the odds of an SLU sweep at 3X the odds of a Maine sweep. I just think 10-6 or 9-7 is a more realistic outcome.
Looks like I put too much faith in HE. 4-4 OOC after day #1 while playing a relatively weak schedule.

Re: RPI @ SHU (10/12) and BC (10/13)

So if RPI beats BC tomorrow that will mean back to back losses to ECAC teams. Ok so it's over two seasons but when's the last time that happened?

Re: RPI @ SHU (10/12) and BC (10/13)

Nice win. Beat the teams you're suppose to beat. Of course, nice prep by OGC. Tough one tomorrow for sure. Johnny Hockey is always tough to contain.

....talk about goalies, Cole Bruns of Omaha (USHL) has 5 straight shutouts to start the season.
