RPI Recruit Thread 2025-2026

Caleb Hadland (F, R, 5’10, 186, Brandon Wheat Kings, 03/06/2006, RPI)

A 2021 first-round pick of the WHL’s Brandon Wheat Kings, Hadland has 14 goals and 41 points for them this year. He will play at RPI next season.

Hadland possesses a high hockey IQ and is consistently a threat in the offensive zone.

“Caleb is another Wheat Kings forward with high end offensive skill and a will to win battles. He consistently wins one on one confrontations through sheer determination before finding teammates quickly to extend zone time. Without the puck, he’s underrated in how well he sneaks around the ice. At times he relaxes his posture, appearing non-threatening, only to explode into space for quick shots or to make himself available as an outlet.”

Neutral Zone doesn't have Gavin as our recruit yet.

makes sense. I said before a lot of Dave’s recruits were not D1 players. Good for him I’m sure he will get better playing time
I agree with that, but the question is would Lang have kept them if there was not the sudden availability of CHL players,

Lemieux, Hillditch, and Kyrkostas are better, but none of them have broken into the everyday lineup yet. They could next year.

I doubt it. Even without CHL players there would be better available to lang. They could next year but it’s going to be tough with the amount of talent lang is bringing in. I like all three players but competition is gonna be tough. We still have the portal season coming up and lang himself said he’s expecting some serious talent to enter this year with all the chl players.

Totally unexpected by me, but Tafari Chingwaru has played two games for the Vancouver Giants in the WHL on 1/24 and 1/31.

I should have said that he did return to Lloydminster last weekend. So that must have been in Vancouver as an AP like Gosselin has done a few times in the QMJHL.
