RPI Recruit Thread 2025-2026

No, I thought of it myself.:p

On the other hand, as I mentioned before, one of our recruits was born the same month and date as me (Chingwaru), the 4th since I started paying attention, and none of the other three were successes.
You seem to just have way too much free time on your hands! Perhaps you should think about being a volunteer greeter at Walmart😜

I don't have much confidence in Chingwaru breaking that streak sadly

He appears to have improved since last season, but I agree with you.

Mauro DiPaolo 's one season of 32-1-0-1-30 will remain the top with his skates used for The Capital Skates trophy.
We have a picture taken way back then of Jenny (all 4'9" of her) standing next to Mauro who I believe was 6'5".

I have too much time on my hands because DC deals with snow by piling it on bike paths. DC does still allow bikes on roads, but tell that to drivers.

Known January 2 RPI recruits

Mauro DiPaolo 1/2/78 https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/66675/mauro-di-paolo 1 goal in 1 year
Jason Fortino 1/2/87 https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/130380/jason-fortino 1 game @ RPI which I attended
Kareem Al-Azem 1/2/04 https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/626947/kareem-al-azem committed to RPI, but is now a Senior at Connecticut College
Kamyl Chemrouk 1/2/07 https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/877158/kamyl-chemrouk

When I went through this, I learned that Chemrouk was traded to Powell River (BCHL) on 2/3/26.

Kamyl Chemrouk traded to Powell River for future considerations.

An article about Jordan Gavin's lack of penalties. The two minutes for being selected to sit out a too-many-men-on-the-ice penalty really shouldn't count.

On Friday, the Brandon Wheat Kings lost to the Calgary Hitmen 5-4. Grayson Burzynski had an assist and a cross checking penalty. Jordan Gavin had an assist (PPA). Caleb Hadland had no points or penalties. Harrison Lodewyk had a goal and a tripping penalty. 3 SOGs. https://chl.ca/whl/gamecentre/1022685/

Burzynski's line is now 44-9-39-48-48.
Gavin's line is now 50-13-32-45-4.
Hadland's line is now 49-14-27-41-45.
Lodewyk's Calgary line is now 35-10-11-21-43.
His total is 39-11-14-25-49.
HL’s goal is at 3:12 of the embedded video.
JG hits the cross bar at 0:30, followed immediately after in a separate play by his assist.
GB’s assist is at 1:35.
With 4 recruits playing, if it is of interest, watching the entire video might be simpler.

On Friday, the Kamloops Blazers lost to the Prince George Cougars 6-3. Josh Evaschesen had an assist. Ryan Michael had an assist (PPA). https://chl.ca/whl/gamecentre/1022687/

Evaschesen's line is now 49-26-31-57-29.
Michael's line is now 49-3-26-29-25.
There is currently no embedded video. I may check later. The instagrams don't show either assist.

Edit: JE's assist at 1:31 of the embedded video, RM's assist 3:46.
