RPI Recruit Thread 2025-2026

Besides for Lariviere whom Chris Heisenberg had crossed out and Shaw whom he removed when he started this year's list, Adrian, Oakenfold, and Ziliotto have now been crossed out. I will remove all of them.

Ryan Shaw may not've been in Eric Lang's plans - or may've decided to go elsewhere after the coaching change - but he's sure having a good season in the NAHL. 22 goals, 44 points in 30 games, tied for goals and third in points in the NAHL.

Saw him last night at the Rochester Jr Amerks game, 1G and 2A, first star. Not the biggest player but quality on the ice.

I think that both he and Ziliotto lost out because of the eligibility of CHL players. They both are having great years in what are lower leagues. ZIliotto had a good, but not great, partial season in the OHL last year, but could not find a spot this year as an overage player. I wonder where both will end up when the smoke clears. Adrian lost a spot this year at RPI due to injury. I don't think that either Lariviere or Oakenfold have improved their stats enough this year in a somewhat weaker BCHL.

On Sunday, the Brooks Bandits defeated the Sherwood Park Crusaders 7-5. Kamyl Chemrouk had a fighting major penalty. He was named the #1 Star. :D https://bchl.ca/stats/game-center/13869

Chemrouk's line is now 24-8-9-17-11.
The two players involved in the fight for Sherwood Park were Cooper Sharp and Maxime Ly, both Union recruits. Ly was the aggressor.
KC did not get a Star according to an Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/p/DSjKrzUEZuT/?hl=en

The years the recruits are listed as arriving at RPI are not necessarily accurate.
The dates on which some of the women are listed as committing on may be considerably after the actual dates.
"Hometown" is sometimes where the player was born and sometimes where he or she currently lives.
I am assuming that Neutral Zone regards their Star ratings as public because they often tweet them with committals.

STRENGTHS according to Neutral Zone (NZ rarely includes them for women):
Aw=Awareness/IQ, Ch=Character/Leadership, GS=Goal Scoring Ability, Sk=Skating, Sp=Speed, SH=Stick Handling Skill,
St-Strength, To=Toughness, Vi=Vision/Passing

Pardon the intrusion ... but do the House settlement and NIL regulations differ for a D3 school playing up vs. a full-fledged D1 school?

Kinda funny Chemrouk got in a fight with Union recruits. They were meant to be at these schools in 2014!
It is indeed funny. I wonder if it is usual for recruits to already react to players from rivals of their future college. I also wonder about Chemrouk getting the #1 Star according to the score sheet without any points but with two PPG's occurring while the resulting penalties were being served. (I think that Ly's 7 minutes and a subsequent too-many-men penalty were being served when the 2nd PPG was scored.) Good point about 2014.
