Can’t disagree with that. Winning makes everything betterI don't disagree but I do think we need to win a bunch of games this season in order to get on the radar of advisors and families that the upswing is underway.

I have no doubt this staff can bring in some 4 star players, but RPIEotT was talking about the new players available for recruitment on August 1. Those are primarily '10s. The best players (4.5-5) in that group will be shopping. I'm sure we will get some (primarily in our 3.75-4.00 sweetspot with an occasional 3.5 or 4.25) once players get some feedback on their relative market value. Rankings are not the be all and end all, but those average at least a full step (+.25) up from what we've gotten over the last decade+. If Lang continues that trend and adds another increment someone better figure out how to add significant $$ to the C. Lloyd Bauer endowment fund.I agree it’s not changed for the better but I believe this coaching staff can bring in some 4 star players early. Especially with the larger pool of players to pick from.
Agreed those players 4.5-5 are not within reach for us. Especially with the shopping that’s now taking place. I was just saying I think we could still grab some higher end 10s especially with the larger pool now. That’s my biggest concern is lang does such a good job here the bigger schools come calling for his services. AD Bowers might need to make that extension sooner rather than later.I have no doubt this staff can bring in some 4 star players, but RPIEotT was talking about the new players available for recruitment on August 1. Not to pat myself on the back but did I just speak this into existence? This might be wishful thinking but a sign that the program is truly on the rise or is fully back is if we can land a 4-5 star recruit in the first week of the new recruiting cycle.
Opens up August 1st. Fingers crossed for Saturday!
FWIW, NZ has him as 3.75 *'s. He was a teammate of Ryan Hecker last season (defensive partner?).Not to pat myself on the back but did I just speak this into existence?

Recruitment for 4 ⭐️ defenseman Maksim Yakub has started to pick up steam over the last few months, having completed visits to both Sacred Heart and RPI. My latest for @PuckPreps 👇️ https://t.co/0ZPiAxM4Xkx.com
Apparently this kid took a visit to RPI, 4-star ‘09 according to Puck Preps, Maksim Yakub

Interesting. I wonder if there’s a relationship there that has him looking at RPI. No disrespect to our program or Sacred Heart but it’s interesting that those are the two programs he’s looking at. I would assume a 4 star 2010 player would have a lot of interest from programs that are currently ahead of us and SHU. Not complaining though!FWIW, NZ has him as 3.75 *'s. He was a teammate of Ryan Hecker last season (defensive partner?).
Edit: He was indeed Hecker's defensive partner. Earlier, he was rated as 4 *'s.
