I always thought that Rensselaer was the word in RPI which was often misspelled. :)

I suspect that quite a few of Smith's recruits are no longer coming to RPI. Sezenack pointed out to me that Janus does not mention RPI anymore on his X and Instagram accounts.

"Hometown" is sometimes where the player was born and sometimes where he or she currently lives.
I am assuming that Neutral Zone regards their Star ratings as public because they often tweet them with committals.

That will require a current student who can check. :) Sezenack is no longer a student, and the people he knew well are no longer there either.
 
Heavyweights continuing to battle it out for top CHL players, with UND swiping a few would-be BC recruits away and Michigan landing another. It'll be interesting to see how many CHL's land on ECAC recruiting lists for 2026.

The recruiting battles are intense. I would imagine quite a few will land on ECAC lists. I like our chances to land some serious talent for 2026. I can’t say this enough but getting Schneider as the top recruiter is massive. We should start to see some serious talent coming to Troy in the next few years.

Interesting. There are 10 players from the portal assuming there aren't any who didn't get listed. That would mean that there are also 10 freshmen. i have listed 8 previously: Shaw, Hilditch, Lemieux, Ziliotto, Scherzer, Kyrkostas, Krawchuk, and Klassek. Maybe Adrian is coming. Maybe Janus is still a recruit. Perhaps there is someone else, perhaps from Europe, who has escaped our radar.

Edit: it is also possible that Bourgault is considered new since he did not play although he was on the roster.

I think Oakenfold is coming, so it does appear we're one short. Probably either Janus or Adrian as you said. Hopefully that means it will be released soon.

What choice did Lang have? When he was hired he looked at a roster with 10 graduating players and at least a half-dozen in the portal (some already committed to other schools). Several more entered the portal afterward, presumably with Lang's encouragement, but the major roster rebuild was baked in the day he signed.

My point was that McMahon's "Eric Lang is wasting no time reshaping the roster" was kind of silly. He had at least 16 holes to fill whether he wanted to or not. Furthermore, I don't know whether I would term these "his own guys." I don't think that characterization is fair to Lang because he's doing the best he can with a lot of limitations on short notice. A bunch will be Smith's recruits. Another bunch would be the best he could get from the portal when he was hired more than a week after it opened and probably several weeks after "advisors" started cutting deals.. Given the massive holes he had to fill, he's picking and choosing as much as he can. However, we won't really know what a team of Lang's own guys looks like for another few years when he's been able to evaluate and recruit players specifically for his style.
