On Thursday, the Maryland Black Bears defeated the Maine Nordiques 5-1. Jack Brackett had a goal (SHG) and a tripping penalty. 3 SOGs. Reid Leibold did not dress. http://nahl.com/game-center/#/game-summary/29590

Brackett's line is 3-5-0-5-4.
Leibold's line is now 15-5-5-10-10.

Brackett should try to go back to the BCHL when they resume play. It's crazy that I'm even saying this, but he almost seems too good for the NAHL. Maybe a bit of an overreaction as he could cool down.

Edit: It looks like he nearly had another one this game https://twitter.com/BlackBearsNAHL/status/1349876189960298498?s=20
Jack Brackett appears to have a deflection goal, but the referee waves it off for a high stick

Supposedly the NAHL and BCHL are pretty similar in level. I also suspect that he doesn't mind staying near home, and at least he is playing.

Quite the pair of mittens! What a goal!

game summary https://www.usahockeyntdp.com/news_article/show/1140804
Sutter Muzzatti (Okemos, Mich.), added to the roster prior to the game, made it 3-1 with a fantastic individual effort where he deked between two defenders and flipped his shot over goaltender Cam Gray's shoulder while falling down. Fellow Team USA newcomer Braiden Simmons-Fischer (Waterford, Mich.) and defenseman Jacob Martin (Eagle River, Wis.) earned assists on the goal.

I was checking if by some chance, Neutral Zone raised Sutter Muzzatti from 3.50. They have not as of now. I did notice that they have added symbols for Strength and Toughness. This may have been added a while ago.

BTW, There are currently no other ECAC recruits on the USNTDP 18U roster https://www.usahockeyntdp.com/roster/show/5936069?subseason=705095. There is one Harvard recruit on the 17U roster https://www.usahockeyntdp.com/roster/show/5936071?subseason=705095. None of the four goalies on the two squads have committed, probably a symptom of their late development.

On Friday, the Maryland Black Bears lost to the Maine Nordiques 3-2 in overtime. Jack Brackett had no points or penalties. Reid Leibold did not dress. http://nahl.com/game-center/#/game-summary/29591

Brackett's line is 4-5-0-5-4.
Leibold's line is now 15-5-5-10-10.
I hope that JB didn’t cause RL to leave the lineup.

Edit: Maryland won 1-0 in a forfeit.
Edit 2: The forfeit has gone POOF.

If I had to guess, I think Leibold is injured. He's been one of their top scorers, so I'd be surprised if Brackett's appearance pushed him all the way out of the lineup.

Ralph; Any connection between this guy and a 1970's forward with the same name?
