The dates on which some of the women are listed as committing on may be considerably after the actual dates.
I am assuming that Neutral Zone regards their Star ratings as public because they often tweet them with committals.

South Shore won 3-2. I will post the summary eventually. Babich didn't score a goal, but one of his wings scored one and the other two were by a defenseman, so it is quite possible that he assisted at least once.

surprised he wasn't taken in the USHL futures draft but was taken in the OHL draft

He already has some good size to him. I hope he can skate and has some offensive skills too. This is our first 04 recruit.

Al-Azem was picked #194 in round 19 by Windsor in the OHL draft this year. https://www.eliteprospects.com/draft...selection/2020

Round 10 (194[SUP]th[/SUP] overall) – Kareem Alazem, New Jersey Rockets 15’s, right defenceman, six-foot-two, 170 pounds. 17-5-10-15-2.

“Good size and good feet,” Evola said. “He moves the puck up the ice well and he’s open to come and try and make the team.”
It sounds like they don't really want him. :-)

I have been debating whether this was worth posting since yesterday. Al-Azem was born on January 2. That is also my birthday, although I was born a few years earlier than him. ;-) When I was at RPI, I never saw the exact birth dates of players, and only the ages which weren't updated during the year. Assuming that he arrives, Al-Azem will be the third player since DOBs have been noted that was born on January 2. That is more than one would expect for a single date.

Neither of the other two had a notable career at RPI. The first was Mauro DiPaolo, born 1/2/78, a rather large forward at 6'6". (5'11" according to Elite Prospects, definitely wrong.) He scored one goal in 1996-97. IIRC, in the last game of the season. He went to the Quebec league the following year. The second was the defenseman Jason Fortino, born 1/2/87. He was a member of Buddy Powers last recruiting class and got into only one game as a Freshman under Seth Appert. Considering that he didn't go to another D-I school, SA probably evaluated him correctly. Perhaps he benefited from playing with Cody Goloubef in Juniors.

Anyway, I hope that Al-Azem has a much better and longer career at RPI than either of these.
