Youngstown opened the scoring at the 13:28 mark of the first period and never trailed in the game. With Garrett Dahm in the box for tripping, Matthew Cassidy picked off a pass in his own end and quickly started to rush up the ice. Cassidy carried the puck up the right side while John Beaton joined the play down the left side to turn it into a 2-on-1 break. Cassidy slipped the puck cross ice to Beaton, and Beaton snapped it past the short-side blocker of Grant Adams (25 saves) to put the Phantoms ahead 1-0. It was Beaton’s seventh goal of the season, the first shorthanded goal for Youngstown as a team, and extended his scoring streak to five games.

Brett Miller is now listed as starting and saving 28/30. Very weird, he was listed as the backup last night when I checked, just like he was for you.

Edit: It's worth noting both goals scored on Miller were on the PP. He has been playing quite well :)

Fixed. He was still listed as the backup when I posted the result.

At least you saw this one before it was changed, as turk181 saw an earlier one. It's not just me becoming senile. :)

Finn Brown. who was at the Canada East camp for the World Jr A Challenge, did not make the team. Three of his teammates on the St. Michael's Buzzers did.
