If he keeps scoring a point a game the Steel will want him on the regular roster. What are the USHL rules for affiliates - are they limited to a certain number of games or only games where regular roster injuries leave a hole in the line chart? Alternatively, can they just be promoted to the regular roster in lieu of cutting an existing member?

My understanding is that there is a limit to how many games they can play in without having to cut someone.

I believe that number is 10 games..........EDIT; 6 yrs old but I believe is still current (e) Affiliate Players shall be limited to a maximum of ten junior games per season but only six games prior to March 1 with the ability to play additional games once the player’s current team has completed their entire season and this would include state, district and national championship play.

FWIW, Winkler’s announcer said that EF had been robbed by the OCN goalie on several occasions during the game.
