Kjellberg’s smooth transition to North American hockey recently led to an opportunity to play NCAA Division I hockey. He verbally committed to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an ECAC school in Troy, N.Y.

“I’m really excited to go there,” Kjellberg said. “I know I’m going to get a great education there, and it’s a hockey program that’s on the way up.
