Ralph, do you think that Fawkes will be able to move to a better league? I'd be concerned if he stays in the MJHL

I am concerned also. OTOH, the MJHL is rated better than I expected in the link in post 379 by turk181.

I have watched many games in the BCHL, the SJHL and the MJHL over the last few years. The MJHL is good hockey and it is only ranked as a lower league because of the NCAA Div I commitment rate. Those rankings are mainly based on commitments to college. Given the remoteness of many of the teams in both the SJHL and the MJHL, it is understandable why they don't get a high percentage of Div ! commitments. This is not necessarily a measure of the quality of play within the league. The top end teams in both leagues can play against the top teams in the BCHL and the NAHL. But they will never get the same number of commitments. It is just a matter of exposure. He will have plenty of opportunity to be challenged and develop his game.

I found out from a reliable source that Hunter McDonald will be playing in the Beantown Summer Classic (Committed Division) on Sunday and Monday. http://beantownclassic.com/events/summer-classic/. Contrary to what is posted there, there will be 2 teams, not 4. They will play one game on Sunday and two on Monday. Looking at the left of that page, results were posted two years ago, but not last year. We have had recruits play there before and our coaches listed as scouting. I will post any results which the tourney posts or I receive by e-mail.

On Wednesday, Team Constructive Renovations lost to Team Boikey's 16-14 in the Chicago Pro Hockey League (Development Division). Zach Dubinsky had no points or penalties. https://www.chicagoprohockeyleague.com/schedule-stats/constructive-renovations-vs-boikeys-week-5

Dubinsky’s line is now 1-0-0-0-0.

He is in the lineup. Did he really play? I don't know. For what it is worth, although Constructive Renovations was credited with 14 goals, only 9 are listed.


Edit: Only 8 of M02 Properties' (Itagaki's team) 11 goals were credited. Maybe some goals are worth two points based on style. ;)

I found out from a reliable source that Hunter McDonald will be playing in the Beantown Summer Classic (Committed Division) on Sunday and Monday. https://beantownclassic.com/events/summer-classic/. Contrary to what is posted there, there will be 2 teams, not 4. They will play one game on Sunday and two on Monday. Looking at the left of that page, results were posted two years ago, but not last year. We have had recruits play there before and our coaches listed as scouting. I will post any results which the tourney posts or I receive by e-mail.

It's still not up, but I received a roster by email. McDonald will be on the Red team. I certain former recruit whose initials are GF is on the other team. He played last year also.
