Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2018-19 (Part III)

On Sunday, the Brooks Bandits defeated the Prince George Spruce Kings 4-3 and win the National Junior A Championship (a.k.a. Royal Bank Cup). Ryan Mahshie had a tripping penalty. https://www.hockeycanada.ca/en-ca/n...-junior-a/2019/stats/game-summary?gameid=2426

Mahshie's final Royal Bank Cup line is 6-2-4-6-2.
His final total is 82-41-39-80-91.

I will check for changes in the morning and add any important tweets.

I am assuming that Neutral Zone regards their Star ratings as public because they tweet them with committals.

It would certainly be nice, but the best we can hope for is the Mayor's Cup or perhaps an in-season tourney every once in a while.

I don’t think the Sioux Falls Stampede or Brooks Bandits will be in Lake Placid anytime soon.... :)

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2018-19 (Part III)

Just 1 more thing, I fully expect Fawkes & McDonald to be selected in the NAHL Draft June 4th. IMO, the NAHL has surpassed the BCHL in overall progression of it’s players.

some details

I hope Babich makes it. (I doubt that he will make Omaha's roster this year.) I am sure that Brackett will make Boston's roster, assuming he does not move on.

Would you rather Babich play for the NCDC than go to U16 for the Chicago Mission?

Yes I would because it is a higher league, but he may prefer to stay at home for another year. It also depends upon how much ice time he will get. It probably wouldn't be good if he were to play on the 4th line for Boston.

Christian Sarlo is going to the Lincoln Stars.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Stars Off-season Primer Part I: Announcing Future Considerations<br><br>Stars bring 11 new players into the fold from past trades:<a href="https://t.co/Y4uD6oaqMo">https://t.co/Y4uD6oaqMo</a> <a href="https://t.co/CXML4PwiSm">pic.twitter.com/CXML4PwiSm</a></p>— Lincoln Stars (@LincolnStars) <a href="https://twitter.com/LincolnStars/status/1131261505310212098?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 22, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Christian Sarlo is a left-handed forward, born in 2001. The Lynbrook, NY native joins Treloar as the pair head to their third-consecutive team together. Both played for the North Jersey Avalanche in 2017-18 prior to joining the Steel this past season. With Chicago, Sarlo scored 12 goals and 25 points in 50 regular season games before adding two goals in the playoffs. Sarlo is committed to RPI.

It's too bad that he did not suit up for the Clark Cup.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2018-19 (Part III)

I received an email from a reliable source on Thursday stating that the reason that McDonald was not selected was that he was selected in the 2018 NCDC Future's draft by the Monarchs. He expects to play there in the fall.

I received another email from the same person. Hunter McDonald made the National Select 17 camp which will be held 6/25 to 7/1, one of 5 NY defensemen selected..
