Chicago Mission 16U Itagaki) won their first of two games today 8-2 over Compuware 16U. Judging by last year, they won't post box scores. That's a bit weird since they do post them during the regular season. (For what it is worth, the rules give a maximum goal differential of 6.)

That rule is probably why you won't see stats. I assume also that everyone gets a trophy?

They use goal differential in deciding who advances, and want to minimize the importance of blowouts. It's a bit more complicated than that, but basically that is it.

On Friday, the Lincoln Stars lost to the Youngstown Phantoms 5-2. Tristan Ashbrook scored a goal. Zach Dubinsky is still out injured. Mason Klee had no points or penalties. https://www.ushl.com/view/#/game-summary/8591

Spruce Grove is still playing. Cory Babichuk is still out.

The score for Chicago Mission 16U (Itagaki) is not up yet although long over. (Every time one reloads the 18U schedule shows up.)

I will check on these and look for other changes in the morning.

Chicago Mission 16U (Itagaki) won their second game yesterday 1-0 over the Chicago Young Americans 16U team.

Chicago Mission 16U (Itagaki) defeated Team Illinois and finished the three preliminary games with a 3-0 record, as did Detroit Honeybaked 16U. They will be the top seed in the semis this evening.

Young Mr. Babichuk (although he’s not nearly as young as when he committed) seems to miss a lot of games. Even the season when he played a nearly full schedle he sat for 10+ games (although that might have been CDs during 1st year in league). I hope he’s not injury prone or with a chronic condition. He’s supposed to be a pick moving D and with our gradually emerging offense we can use all the puck movement we can get.

On Saturday, Fairport High School defeated Penfield HS 5-4. Hunter McDonald had 2 goals (1 PPG), 2 assists (1 PPA, 1 SHA), and holding and cross checking penalties. https://section_v_hockey.wttstats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=3400137
