Interesting pickup. Ferner is a Dman who will be 21 next August. On top of that he’s listed at 5’9” on elite prospects. Not much in the way of a scorer either.... http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=234324

It's a small hockey world. With the women that happens virtually every time because there are so few players.

Getting Ferner means that we have 4 defensemen coming in next year,: Babichuk, Modry, Tuliara, and Ferner. I suspect that Coach Smith would like to have nine on D, but that still means one won't show up. Either Modry will be for 2019 or we did lose Tuliara. I hope the former but fear it's the latter.
