Just passing time today so I was curious to see what former recruit Alec Dillon was up to. Sadly his hockey career ended early. He recently underwent his 4th hip surgery. He only played 7 games with Edmonton Oil Kings (yr. he would’ve been in Troy) & hasn’t played since.

He's a late 2001 so are we looking at entry in 2020? 2021? I guess we really are getting into the latest trend in college hockey, recruiting players that haven't shaved yet. This is the 2nd in a row that was 15 going on 16 at time of commitment. Let's hope that Coach Dave is good at projecting future development. I'm sure we'll still be filling in the gaps in our roster with 20 and even 21 year old freshmen, but the heart of the team will probably be kids we almost literally watched grow up from a distance.

The beginning an Elitehockeyprospect (pay site) from US camp report from July on RL found by googling:

Leibold displayed good skill but still struggled at times to make plays in his games. He got on the puck well and worked hard to make plays but ...
