I am pretty sure that he never signed a National Letter of Intent so there was nothing official. It no longer says that he an RPI recruit on his BCHL page, his Twitter account, or Chris Heisenberg's list. That's as official as it gets. Although I have no proof, I suspect that Coach Smith decommitted Modry, rather than the other way around.

On Thursday, the Chilliwack Chiefs defeated the Steinbach Pistons 4-1. Their final round-robin Royal Bank Cup record is 3-1. (Not bad for a team eliminated early in the BCHL playoffs.) Lee's RBC line is now 4-0-2-2-6.
His total is 64-19-26-45-52.


FWIW now that he is not an RPI recruit, Jacob Modry had 2 assists in Wenatchee's game a 7-1 rout https://www.hockeycanada.ca/en-ca/n...-junior-a/2018/stats/game-summary?gameid=1891. Wenatchee finished first in the round robin, Chilliwack second. Chilliwack plays Ottawa in their semifinal game Saturday.

Johnson, who played 51 games for the RoughRiders last season, finished the year with 18 points (1G, 17A).

“We are happy for Jake Johnson and his family," said Carlson. "Jake showed significant improvement over his 2 years in Cedar Rapids. RPI will be a great fit for him on the ice as well as in the classroom."

It's probably wishful thinking since I don't think he even wore a letter in Chilliwack, but I've been secretly hoping that TLee will provide the sort of on-ice leadership we've been missing since the last guy named Lee to play for the cherry and white.

P.S. That rink, with it's bright yellow curved roof supports that are higher on one side than the other, is a dead ringer for Quinnipiac's.
