RPI Recruit Thread 2017-18 (Part II)

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2017-18 (Part II)

Another player I had been following was Dman, Marcus Chorney. His brother is Taylor who was just traded from Washington to Columbus. Thought he might help with the blue line next year should we be without any current Engineers or Modry. He just committed to QPac.

I am pretty sure that we have indeed lost Modry, but I am keeping him on the list until I see something official.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2017-18 (Part II)

In the Top 10 Uncommitted a player I was very impressed with was Matt Holmes (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=348520 ). I mentioned him to Graham as a player to keep an eye on.

Considering how many times I have heard from RPI fans that they have recommended a player to the RPI staff, I suspect that they are inundated by these statements and probably ignore them. Then again, I have no personal knowledge of this.

I can say that the email I sent DS was never acknowledged but I did talk to Graham in person. While SA was in the helm he did take the time to return my emails. Just saying.

On Wednesday, the NAHL Selects Red defeated the South team 4-3 in overtime. Jonathan Bendorf scored 2 goals including the game-winning OT goal. http://nahl.com/game-center/game-summary?game_id=22741

Bendorf's NAHL Top Prospects line is now 2-2-0-2-0.

Good for bendy. I noticed yesterday, as well as today, they put the player’s GPA on the line charts. Good to see Bendy with the 3.40. With all the places he’s played the last 2 yrs. that shows a discipline to his studies. Ralph, I was just wondering if that GPA would be for HS or do you think he’s taking college courses? BTW, it was his birthday 2 days ago...... If you blow up the picture you’ll see the GPA on the bottom right. Tip; scroll to the lineup and CLIK that then enhance.

@NAHLHockey Top Prospects Day 2.
 USA hockey arena. pic.twitter.com/WpA1mhngxd
— Neutral Zone (@_Neutral_Zone) February 28, 2018

It's probably both HS and college. I agree that it changing schools several times makes it difficult for many recruits.

He did score the 4th goal. It sure looked like he should’ve been credited with an assist on the 6th goal. Tweets from LA don’t show that though.

It could easily be wrong and he had an assist. Those tweets are far from complete as I have been posting for a while. I will check in the morning.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2017-18 (Part II)

It could easily be wrong and he had an assist. Those tweets are far from complete as I have been posting for a while. I will check in the morning.
2 things I do know, from watching the game, he scored the 4th goal & he was on the ice for 4 goals but he was also on the ice for a SHG against. He definitely thinks offense first. That would be refreshing in Troy.

I am going to keep it as Gunnarwolfe. :)

Fontaine looks like a nice player, having a goal and an assist on the only two scores I saw. However, the player that really stood out was his linemate Shea. Unfortunately, I see that he's headed to Northeastern.
