On Monday, the St. Catharines Falcons defeated the Ancaster Avalanche 4-1. They won the best-of-7 playoff series 4-3. Owen Savory saved 11 of 12 shots.

FWIW, St. Catherine's coach thinks that Savory is the best goalie in Canada. He mentions RPI.

Other teams might be more to his liking. It isn't over until it is over. :)

It is impossible to figure out the scholarship situation with all the comings and goings.

On Wednesday, the St. Catharines Falcons lost to the Caledonia Corvairs 6-0. They trail in the best-of-7 playoff series 1-0. Owen Savory saved 28 of 32 shots in 45:56. http://gojhl-cms.wttstats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=3307262

Savory's line is now 12-8-3-0-2.17-.922.
His total is 52-38-11-1-2.04-.933.


According to tweets https://twitter.com/StCathFalcons/status/979164087526576128 OS was replaced in goal after the fourth goal. As of the moment the box score does not reflect that. I will fix the stats here and in the next post if I am in error as to exactly when he was removed and how many shots he faced.


Edit: I will keep checking. I assume it will be changed eventually.

St Cat. thinks that OS was pulled http://www.pointstreaksites.com/view/stcatharinesfalcons/press-box/news_501715#.WrzpHNkGGtw.twitter. The only remaining question is how many saves he had. I used the "game live" link. it's probably correct, but they have a habit of not having the correct time on all saves.
