New recruit? Not a lot of information on this kid, so not sure if he's committed to the D1 or club team. He's following and being followed by Smith and Jewell on twitter, for what it's worth.

Edit: After looking into the NCDC a little (wasn't too familiar with it), I see there are D1 commits in this league. I would therefore strongly assume he's committed to D1.

It looks like it of course. I will see what else I can dig up. His Twitter page which in the tweet has RPI on the upper left also.

I think RPI athletics is the proper thing. Quite possibly he is going the ACHA route, in which case I will alter eliminate him. That wouldn't be RPI athletics of course.

Yes, that is the proper thing but I’ve always seen the announcement as RPI Hockey.

Maybe they don't know better. It's not like we recruit there a lot.

Edit: Also they used the old Puckman logo, not that I would not want to see it back.

Yeah, him not tweeting he's committed, but updating his twitter to mention it is abnormal for almost 100% of these kids. Maybe he's just modest.

The fact that he turned 17 a few months ago indicates he probably wouldn't be coming to college this fall, though it's possible. I'm thinking in terms of regular academic students, not the hockey recruiting world we've come to know. I wouldn't think most kids playing ACHA "commit" more than a year ahead, so I feel that pretty much guarantees he's not playing ACHA.

It's just an uncommon way to find a player commit these days, I think that's what the confusion boils down to.

A lot of confusion, but we will see. He is not a high scorer on the Boston NCDC team, but he is a 00. I had been dreading that we would get a recruit from there due to the mess of a web site the league has.

He's practically an '01 :D. Maybe if he was born in Asia.
