Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2017-18 (Part II)

Gunnarwolfe Fontaine has apparently lost his assist from today. It is also possible that there were two assists. Hopefully USHR will update their stats soon.

GF did get an assist since his total agrees with mine. https://www.ushr.com/neprep/team/stats/2017/35?playerId=25182

On Saturday, the Lincoln Stars defeated the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders 5-1. Tristan Ashbrook scored 2 goals. 5 SOGs. He was named the #1 Star. :) Zach Dubinsky did not dress, but since the team is playing a short lineup, it is probably an injury/illness. http://www.ushl.com/view/#/game-summary/7872

Ashbrook's line is now 43-15-9-24-24.
Dubinsky's line is now 42-2-10-12-20.
TA has been picking up his goal scoring recently. 6 goals in 4 games.

I was going to post the other day that Ashbrook seems to have been steadily improving throughout the year (although this latest outburst stands out). Hopefully we've got a goal scorer that actually slipped under the radar. We need all the offensive talent we can get.

This really getting interesting.

All the recent activity is stunning. I'm guessing that Bendorf may take an extra year to work on whatever led to him bouncing from team to team earlier this year (skating?, 3-zone play?, ?). Even so, that still would leave a massive incoming class and a tiny graduating group. Unless the staff knows a bunch of players have plans to move on, this off-season could be ugly.

I think both he and Lacka have talent. Neither is top level, but if we had two lines which such talent, we would move up to the middle of the ECAC pack at least.

Also, although I think both are coming in the fall, they are 98's so they could still be a year off. (Ashbrook is known to have signed a Letter of Intent.)

I think that he is coming in the fall but you could be correct. Something has to give with so many forwards..

On the back end our longest running recruit, Babichuk, has also switched clubs and apparently been injured down the stretch. I'd be surprised if he wasn't enrolling at this point but he's the only other potential candidate to take another year and we just added not one, but two, surprise defensemen when I thought we were done on the back line even with Modry looking as if he's gone.

I think he is coming but have no inside knowledge. It is doubtful that Modry is coming and I suspect that one of the current is leaving. I can't name him. So we will have 9 next year (5 returnees and 4 new).

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2017-18 (Part II)

On Saturday, the Lone Star Brahmas defeated the Kenai River Brown Bears 4-0. Ture Linden had a goal and 2 assists (1 PPA). Kyle Hallbauer had an assist (PPA) and an interference penalty. http://nahl.com/game-center/game-summary?game_id=3364

Linden's line is now 39-11-25-36-10.
Hallbauer's line is now 45-7-19-26-35.
TL has also picked up his scoring recently, but it is the NAHL, not the USHL.

Edit: TL was named the #1 Star. :)

I will post the AJHL and BCHL summaries in the morning. Bear, Modry (assist), and Lee are playing and Babichuk is still out.
I will also check if Trevor Linden got a Star and any other box score changes.
