Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2016-17

Since Murley, the only locals I can recall are the Cavosies, Greg Kemp briefly, and Mark Yurkewecz. Union seems to have done a better job of drawing locals recently (Taylor and Stevens) but not by much.
don’t forget Tyler Hynes.

It is definitely not worth anything even during the season. :) It is interesting that Penticton, Wenatchee, and Georgetown representing all our recruits playing in Canadian leagues are mentioned.

On Friday, the Penticton Vees defeated the Trail Smoke Eaters 7-0. Cory Babichuk was indeed not in the lineup again. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Tonight's line-ups for the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Vees?src=hash">#Vees</a> & <a href="https://twitter.com/BCHLSmokeEaters">@BCHLSmokeEaters</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/BCHL?src=hash">#BCHL</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Penticton?src=hash">#Penticton</a> <a href="https://t.co/ZDNsR36KJB">pic.twitter.com/ZDNsR36KJB</a></p>— Penticton Vees (@PentictonVees) <a href="https://twitter.com/PentictonVees/status/771860353219039232">September 3, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

On Friday, the Wenatchee Wild lost to the Chilliwack Chiefs 4-2. I do not know if Jacob Modry played.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2016-17

Saturday's games

Babichuk I could find the box score link, but since it won't be posted, it makes no difference. :)
Bendorf The NAHL does not appear to be posting preseason box scores.
Modry http://bchl.ca/game-summary?game_id=7736

I never found a complete preseason schedule for them, so I was just going to wait until their season starts on 9/9. Although I subscribe to their tweets, I missed that one.

Edit: I found it. :o
Edit2: another game later today as you know.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2016-17

Would’ve been nice to have stuck with Penticton but he needs to play.......... The Surrey Eagles hockey club has announced the acquisition of defenceman Cory Babichuk and forward Desi Burgart from the Penticton Vees. Both players are expected to be in the opening day lineup on Friday, September 9th against the Coquitlam Express.

Babichuk, who turns 18 later this month, played last season in the Alberta Midget Hockey League – including a brief stint with the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the AJHL. He is committed to play division I NCAA hockey at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) next season. http://www.surreyeagles.ca/babichuk-burgart-acquired-by-eagles-from-vees
