Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2015-16

Saw a brief part of the scrimmage that the Hun School played yesterday against Princeton Day School. Hoping to be in Bristol Pa for the Holy Ghost game today but not sure.

I assume that Jon Bendorf played or you would have mentioned it.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2015-16

RB: We saw part of the scrimmage they lost to Princeton Day School. Either Princeton Day is a super power or The Hun School just did not care to expend any energy as they just went through the motions. i think the latter is the case. We got to see part of the the second game mentioned which was against a very good Holy Ghost team (Pa state champs last year) and the part we saw was very competitive. Bendorf got considerable ice time. I believe he is only about 16 years old. He is quite big for his age and very strong with some bulk. I would guess about 175. Most 16 year old kids i see are just not that size. Temper this a bit since we only saw him at a distance and of course on skates and in padding. Cannot add much more but will be seeing his school play later this season perhaps when they play Delbarton.

Bendorf is indeed 16 and will 17 on 2/23/16. Thanks, DrD.

From what I’ve heard on Bendorf is he has a very high hockey IQ especially for such a young player. Can flat out score. His issue ATT is his skating. Not a great skater but this can be taught.....to a degree of course.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2015-16

The SSM stats have been updated to include the two games over the weekend.

On Saturday and Sunday, Shattuck-St. Marys lost to and defeated the Culver Academy 4-2 and 7-3, respectively. Emil Ohrvall had 2 goals, 4 assists, and a minor penalty. Cumulative stats http://ssmathletics.org/sports/hockey/boys_prep/2015-16/Stats

Ohrvall's non-Elite League line is now 7-4-7-11-2.
His total is now 22-16-17-33-4.

Turk: I really could not get a read on his skating as the game was just not the fast paced open style. I only could comment on his appearance on the ice and must say for his age he is somewhat imposing. On the other hand i can say that in both games, on the opposition, i saw some kids that seemed to me to be pretty far advanced with speed and talent. NJ and PA are starting to bring some talent to the rink.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2015-16

I just received word from a reliable source that Austin Cho has now been traded to the Georgetown Raiders (OJHL).

Edit: He is on their roster http://ojhl_site.stats.pointstreak.com/teamplayerstats.html?teamid=34956&seasonid=14556. (twice :) )
Also on the OJHL transaction page http://ojhl_site.stats.pointstreak.com/transactions.html?leagueid=231&seasonid=14556.
And BCHL transactions http://www.bchl.ca/leagues/transactions.cfm?clientid=1413&leagueid=2393.

I wonder if he will be in their lineup tomorrow.

Hopefully there’s some Pirri magic left in G’Town.
