I may be late with some summaries. E.g., Modry's first game is at 7:15 AM Mountain time. I will probably be out for lunch when it ends. OTOH, they may not post the box score, if they do at all, until much later.

This is about 4-5 games in a row that CB has been scratched, starting to wonder if he’s possibly injured. I would think that if they’re still trying to get a handle on his ability he would’ve seen some playing time in that span. I know the HC of SP already stated he felt he could handle it that’s why I wonder about a possible injury.

He could have gotten injured in the <s>fight</s> roughing in the one game he played.

Edit: He doesn't have the injured symbol "+" next to his name here http://ajhl.esportsdesk.com/leagues...eamID=439960&showGameType=2&sel_roster=active, but that may not be current.

On Saturday, the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders defeated the Lincoln Stars 7-4. Jacob Hayhurst scored a goal. http://stats.ushl.com/ushl/ushl/en/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=281#

Hayhurst's line is now 1-1-0-1-0.


Interesting that he had one SOG before the goal and still has one SOG. Someone commented on the USHL forum that this software one has to enter shots separately.

Nice 1st official USHL game for Jacob. He was all over the ice creating chances, backchecking, etc. He narrowly missed a goal on the shift prior to the one where he actually got the goal.

His goal was as he came down the RW on a 3 on 2. He fired a wrister high short side.....pure snipe. He should have a nice year in CR. I think Mark Carlson's system fits him well.

Maybe they are trying to build up his confidence.


Edit: Actually their record was 3-3 before today, only one game poorer that SP's 4-2.
