By my calculation, Emil Ohrvall was the highest scorer this year on the SSM Prep team. This should be confirmed when SSM updates their stats during the week. A very noteworthy achievement considering the history of SSM.

Got caught up in a “rabbit hole”, I don’t know if this has been mentioned but Chase Perry’s Dad, Craig, was a goalie on NoDak in 1983-85 seasons. It has not been mentioned. I certainly would have had I known.

He should have played over Jon Casey.

(Let's not get sidetracked by going into more detail about the two games which JC played against RPI.)

While watching the 2nd semifinal last night, I found the following article on Drake Caggiula: http://m.yorkregion.com/sports-story/1421983-caggiula-commits-to-north-dakota

It mentions that he had an offer from RPI. I don't know if this was already known, but I did not know. You don't see info too often for college hockey about the options players had, so I found it interesting.

The article looks vaguely familiar. I suspect hat it was posted at the time.

It would be interesting to know how many kids we offer scholarships to, and how many accept. And who were the ones that "got away." Drake for example, were we high on his list before NoDak offered him? We'll never know.

We'll indeed never know. We rarely even find out anymore which other schools offered the recruits which we do get.

The NAHL regular season ends tomorrow. At the start of the day, Todd Burgess was 28 points ahead of his nearest competitor still playing at so he won the scoring championship. Going into today, he led Odessa's Hampus Sjodahl by three goals and Odessa's Derek Born by 10 assists. No goals by Sjodahl. Three assists by Brown.

He has 18 PPG's leading his nearest competitor by 6 going into today. Now by 5. (That game is not over.)
