On Saturday, the Sioux City Musketeers lost to the Tri-City Storm 3-1. Alex Rodriguez had no points or penalties. Alec Dillon was the backup. http://ushlstats.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2469871

Rodriguez's line is now 23-5-6-11-22.
Dillon's line is now 19-11-7-0-2.23-.919.


This was the second game between Sioux City and Tri-City and both times AD was the backup. So AR has yet to face him. They have four more games, all in February.

On Saturday, the Topeka RoadRunners defeated the Wichita Falls Wildcats 3-2. Carlos Fornaris had a goal and an assist. He was named #1 Star. :) 4 SOGs. http://nahl.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2477203

Fornaris's line is now 26-4-13-17-14.


Edit: Without checking, it wouldn't surprise if this was the first time since CF started junior hockey that he got the #1 Star.

Just after the power play ended, Topeka forwards Cam Strong and Carlos Fornaris combined to open the scoring. Strong made a nice dish across to Fornaris, whose one-timer zoomed past a sprawling Zevnik, making it 1-0.

“I just raced down the ice and opened up for a one-timer, and Cam made a great pass under the defenseman’s stick,” Fornaris said. “That’s a play we practice a lot.”

Late in the second, Fornaris beat a race to the puck in the Wildcats’ zone and dished a quick pass to forward Jasen Fernsler, who tapped it past Zevnik, making it 2-1.

What's gotta suck though for CF is, your Team wins 7-2 & you finish with a -1 :D

He was one of 7 Topeka players at -1, so he had a lot of company. It was only 4-2 without Fernsler's hat trick on the power play. LF was on the ice for Wichita Falls' second goal.
