On Tuesday, the Alberni Valley Bulldogs lost to the Powell River Kings 4-3 in overtime. Evan Tironese had an assist. He left the game with an injury in the second period. :( The announcers couldn't decide if it was his leg or shoulder. One talked to him between periods -- it was the right toe. Tironese's line is now 19-8-25-33-28.

The difference is in the last game where Cho was given an assist on the first goal in the tourney website http://wssc.csshl.ca/leagues/hockey...919&leagueID=24052&gameID=1403695&link=esdNew but not on the league site http://cisaastats.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2580109. I am going to go with the league (CISAA) site as official since that is where all SAC's results should be posted. I am also going to separate out the league games from nonleague games.

This is the 7th straight summary which I have posted in which the RPI recruit had at least one point. (The last one which didn't was Dillon, post #678, but even if that doesn't count, the streak ends at the previous summary.)

By the way, Paul Coffey (yes, that Paul Coffey) is listed as an AC for Pickering. The defensive aspects of the game weren't really his strong suit. :) Coffey's son Blake plays for Pickering.

At one point Pickering was a top team in the OJHL. Now on its third coach in 3 weeks. On Thursday, the Trenton Golden Hawks defeated the Whitby Fury 4-3. Brady Wiffen scored two goals (1 unass.) and had an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. http://ojhlsite.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2473417

Wiffen's line is now 21-16-16-32-20.


Wiffen will be playing in the Central Canada Cup Challenge which starts early tomorrow. I won't report on Trenton while he is not there.
