While waiting for TC's game to end, here is my weekly post of DOB's, heights, weights, etc. Alec Dillon has grown an inch according to TC's website. I use the league sites for this info, but this is probably the figure which will also appear there eventually.

.... and it sure was nice to see Evan Tironese back in a Bulldog sweater and doing some of the things he did out there Saturday night. An elite player without question - he will be fun to watch this year. Being a year older than we last saw him, I'm confident he'll be ready to put up with the stuff that elite players have to deal with. I certainly don't agree with it and don't enjoy the fact that the impact guys have to deal with the abuse that they get, but it seems to goes with the territory at every level of hockey. If you are an impact player, team will try to get you off your game. It takes a higher level of mental strength and maturity than I have to put up with the attention and shenanigans they face, but I believe Evan has it and has the support of his team, and teammates as well.... http://hammersdogs.blogspot.com/2014/09/dogs-golf-tourney-blast-dogs-finish.html

I assume that it is the case, but I hope that ET and the AV management are on the same page after the circumstances in which ET and Ryan Lough left after the 2012-13 season.

Strange schedule. Only 8 League games? They appear to be all HOME games, till you clik on INFO & see they’re not. Maybe we can get Flagdude to head out to Buffalo when they play Nichols in Feb.?

At the bottom, two are listed as away games. The CISAA schedule was short last year also, but since they were in two leagues that was a benefit.

On Monday, the Cedar Rapids Roughriders defeated the Green Bay Gamblers 5-1 in a preseason game. Carlos Fornaris had no points or penalties. http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2482471

Fornaris's preseason line is now 3-0-1-1-0.


Edit: Interesting combination of roughing minors and fighting misconducts, but not major penalties for fighting, near the end of the game. conceivably it is wrong, or it keeps the players from being suspended.
