I only posted it because I knew you would. He got a 4th goal since then.

I wonder if this Young man is truly a sniper or raking up goals because he is older/stronger than the majority of his competitors? God knows we need a true goal scorer.

You have said the same thing which I have been thinking and alluding to. My guess is that it is a combination of both. He does appear to have speed. I have no idea about his faceoff ability.

There are others his age not having that kind of success. From what I’ve been told by a player in the league is that he is the real deal. What happens when Troy becomes his home, well, who knows.

There certainly are many his age without his success. He could be a late bloomer. As I have said, I will be overjoyed if he scores as many goals in four years in Troy as he is scoring in just one year in the OJHL.

Turk,That is good to hear.Over the years I have become suspicious of players putting up huge numbers vs Players they were 2-4 years older than. I would love to see a forward come in that is able to score on the rush or just having a wicked shot.

On Sunday, the Trenton Golden Hawks defeated the Cobourg Cougars 7-2. They lead the best-of-seven playoff series 2-0. Brady Wiffen had four goals including a natural hat trick (2 SHGs, PPG) and an assist. http://ojhlsite.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2640870

Wiffen's playoff line is now 6-8-6-14-8.
His total is 58-61-45-106-74.
RPI 77 Wiffen 61

It's not up yet, but I assume he was named #1 Star. :) Of course the game is in Cobourg and the OJHL has been known to award homer Stars, so I won't even look. :D
