Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14

Great news regarding Nanne to be wearing the cherry and white next season!
BTW Ralph, you have him listed as a LC. Is that a left center? :)

Center with a left shot (and also can play left wing). It's the way Chris Heisenberg has him listed. Sioux Falls just has him as a forward. Elite Prospects lists him as a LW.

Ken Schott on Nanne's commitment http://www.dailygazette.com/weblogs/schott/2013/nov/29/nanne-commits-to-rpi-hockey-for-next-season/.

Now if we could also get his younger brother Tyler who visited Maine recently.

My thought exactly-having a pair of brothers again would be a nice touch. Also I think younger brother might have a tad more size. A bit of a downer for me since I remember well his grandfather playing and I think he was only a few years ahead of me in school.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14

Yikes! Both shoulders? Hope he will be able to reach the net with his shot. He found himself in Canada? Did he de-commit UM because they booed him? Or is it that he couldn't stand the pressure of living up to the family name?

Both shoulders are almost never done at once. Sounds a lot like this is about some deposits in them and not from severe injury or ligament damage-hopefully that is it since the recovery from that type of surgery is often rapid and 100%. Sounds like SA is doing some stock piling-really nice to be able ot have some extra bodies around when the injury or illness bug bites.

It would be nice, very nice, and he is listed as taller, but it would be an immense coup on SA's part to get him. Sort of like had we gotten Tinordi's brother, and he didn't go to Major Junior.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14

Maybe ET was aware of his multi-point (lack of) games Ralph ;)

Might be. :D I am still awaiting the stars to be listed. I also wonder if the second goal (Lough's PPG) in the second period was really on the power play.

Edit: Nothing like awarding all three stars to the home team in a 7-2 loss. :)

I just went to re-check the official boxscore and saw the same thing about the Stars....good grief, Scorekeeper: Muskegon Scorekeeper
STAR 1: Gatt, Carson (MUS)
STAR 2: Iacopelli, Matt (MUS)
STAR 3: Pooley, Scott (MUS)

I will give them to Lough, Weis, and Tironese. :)

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14

On Friday, the Sioux Falls Stampede defeated the Dubuque Fighting Saints 3-0. Louis Nanne did not dress. He is still injured. http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2235438

Nanne's line is now 0-0-0-0-0.

I am not going to post these short summaries of Sioux Falls' games until Nanne plays, which is either next month or January depending upon what you believe. I will continue to update the date of SFS's next game. I probably shouldn't post Sudbury's results either until Bell returns, but I keep hoping that it is imminent.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14

Dillon is having quite the game so far....no goals allowed after 2 periods, he's faced 32 SOG with 20 coming in the 2nd period. Victoria leads 3-0....http://www.bchl.ca/leagues/hockey_boxscores.cfm?clientID=1413&leagueID=2393&gameID=1231354&link=bchl
