RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part III)

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part III)

Well, we know he's thin but with the pads it's tough to tell. When he stands straight up the crossbar is parallel to the lower part of his number on his back, think Ben Bishop of Tampa Bay. Not much to take in after 1 period as he only faced 3 Shots.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part III)

Well that didn't go so well. Dillon was pulled after giving up 4 goals in about 8 minutes of the 2nd period. In between periods they had Jack McIlhargey on, a former Flyer D-man and now a scout with them. He said you can't blame Dillon for what happened, it was just a complete Team meltdown by Victoria. Thought he might talk a little about Dillon but the interviewer said he wouldn't ask because he knew he didn't want to give up any info to his fellow scouts. McIlhargey laughed and said, yeah, there's about 15-20 of us here & we keep that to ourselves.

I would have to agree with you in having no problem with those who leave after 3 years but having problems with those who leave after fewer years. Not naming names because this is the recruit thread ;), but I wonder if players who leave in early March are able to finish the year in progress.

Cant disagree, but today's reality for free agents is far different than even a few years ago. Teams are willing to throw really good dough at FA 's to fill rosters that need to make more sense in today's contract reality in today's NHL. Not saying I like it but , nobody asked !

That's still my opinion although I understand your point. :)

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part III)

You have to let go of the bit on this one Ralph. With today's equipment and more than generous pads, "heft" is irrelevant. Colin Stevens is listed at 6'2 and listed at 170...but if u saw him in street clothes, he's about 6'0 160.

Note that I put a smiley on my remark. I don't regard it as that important either. As to whether goalies should be allowed to have such ridiculous equipment, that's a topic for another thread. :D

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part III)

I'm hoping herbst will come on the thread with a possible explanation of the goal that Carlos assisted on. Both the boxscore & the Game Live stats have the goal scored at 0:00 (box) and 20:00 (GLS)....both indicate the start of the 2nd period....http://www.pointstreak.com/flashapp...234514&wttlink=ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.com

From what I attained, The Youngstown pointstreak computer crashed mid game and they were trying to reenter the information from memory. Apparently that failed in some regard. Carlos assisted on Jason Kalinowski's goal at the 3:41 mark of the 2nd period. I think the couldn't remember the time so they just used the time they did.

When they reentered the info, they got CR's goalie wrong as well. Tirone was in net but it says Birdsall.

Thanks for the explanation. At least they got the only part that concerns RPI correctly -- CF having an assist.

Edit: The time now is 3:48. The goalie is still wrong.

Wicked- For the longest time, i always felt that it was mostly about the money anyway. Now i feel it is ALL about the money. I suppose we should expect more of it in the near future.
