That sounds correct since the first tie breaker is probably head to head. They could have clinched, but it isn't necessary. Of course with Yorkton winning, the loser of the TLP-Vernon game will be 1-3 and will either be the only team at 1-3 or tied with Carleton Place at 1-3 depending upon what Yorkton does on Thursday. Both TLP and Vernon have defeated Yorkton.

Dauphin, Yorkton's opponent on Thursday, is guaranteed the #1 seed and thus has nothing much to play for, so it is quite possible that Yorkton will win making the loser of TLP-Vernon the odd team out.

Yorkton defeated Dauphin 2-1 in OT. One of our recruits’ Team will be eliminated tonight.

On Thursday, the Toronto Lake Shore Patriots lost to the Vernon Vipers 3-2 in overtime. TLP's Royal Bank Cup round robin record is 1-3. Vernon's Royal Bank Cup round robin record is 2-2. This ends TLP's season. Michael Prapavessis scored the game tying PPG with 7.5 seconds left in regulation. Jacob Hayhurst had no points or penalties. Prapavessis' RBC line is now 4-2-1-3-0.

After watching 3 of TLP’s games I will say Prapavessis will be a very good addition. Not overly physical but just as every scouting report says, he has a very quick stick and his poke-check is spot on. His passing is top-notch. Just about every pass is on the tape. Hayhurst has high-end speed that’s certain. Excellent with the puck on his stick and just as fast moving with the puck. Makes things happen, that was evident. Can’t wait to see him in ’16. Wilson was kind of invisible to me. If I wasn’t watching for him I don’t think I would’ve even noticed him.

I am in complete agreement with you. MP looks ready for college, and he probably improved his status for the NHL draft to the extent that we might be having more discussions of him leaving RPI early in the main RPI thread in a couple of years. I think that the only reason he wasn't named TLP's Player of the Game was they like to spread those awards around, and he was awarded it in game #2. As to Hayhurst, if he improves a bit, it could not surprise me if he comes in 2015. I tried to follow Wilson. He played a good, but not spectacular, game. I had hoped to be able to see what interaction he had with MP and JH on the handshake line, but I don't think that part was on camera. I add that #27 for TLP who will play for #26 next season, seemed invisible for three of the four games (unless being in the penalty box when TLP was eliminated counts as being visible). The PPG he was initially given in game #2 was removed.

Was thinking the same about Praps RB. Having him come for this season, as we’ve now heard he will, I think has a lot to do with his future status. It also wouldn’t surprise me to see Hayhurst a year earlier than originally expected.

OTOH, the NHL doesn't consider Prapavessis good enough to invite to the combine http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=718423.
