On Saturday, the Cedar Rapids Roughriders lost to the Waterloo Blackhawks 3-2 (1-0) in a very lengthy shootout. This ends both of their regular seasons. Carlos Fornaris did not dress. Drew Melanson scored a goal. He missed a shootout chance. 4 SOGs http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=2234578

Fornaris' line is now 41-6-7-13-55.
Melanson's Waterloo line is now 57-17-27-44-16
His total is 59-17-27-44-16.

I suspect that the USHL playoffs will start next Friday. Green bay should be playing Indiana. Cedar Rapids should be playing Dubuque. Waterloo and Sioux Falls should be playing each other.

I only saw Alex Rodriguez (23 in "maroon") on the first video (opening faceoff) and the empty net goal (next to last). Assuredly he was also in on the pileup (last video).

Although those videos didn't show much, it was good to see AR both in the starting lineup and protecting the lead. He looked good too in what we see of him in the first video..
