Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part II)

Ralph, can you add to your chart the year the players are expected to arrive at RPI? Maybe I'm going crazy but I feel like you used to have that info on there when you posted these updates.

It's on the other one that he posts infrequently, but with certain exceptions it's becoming fairly impossible to figure out.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2013-14 (Part II)

St. Andrews has updated their stats to the end of the season http://www.sac.on.ca/athletics/teamstats.aspx?TeamID=649. I have updated my figures to reflect it although I don't think that it is correct. They will appear in my next posting. I note that they don't even have scores for the last two games. I'll check again later.

I post that once a week on Sunday. I had complaints that the lines were too long and wrapped on many screens so I separated that, heights, weights, etc. Here they are since all of FD's off topic crap are forcing things off the front page. Note that the years are in general what appears on Heisenberg's site unless the player themselves has said otherwise. I am sure that some will turn out wrong.

They did mount a nice comeback. I do like what seems to be 2 (MP the other) very good QB's on the PP that are D-men.

Supposedly Moore also can do that.

Edit: Whatever it is, hopefully we won't see five forwards on the power play.

...and then two on the other.

I wouldn't be shocked if one of those players, I'd assume Moore, gets the QB job immediately.

From the directory, adding to Melanson who was already included last year:

Name: Jared S. Wilson
Class: First-Year Student
Curriculum: Business and Management

Name: Louis Nanne
Class: First-Year Student
Curriculum: Biomedical Engineering

Name: Meirs Kristoffer Moore
Class: First-Year Student
Curriculum: Business and Management

Name: Bradley Bell
Class: First-Year Student
Curriculum: Business and Management

These were all added since the middle of last week when I last looked.

Moore's output hasn't been great this year. They will certainly try him in practice, but there is a question based upon his performance this season.

Are we talking from a standpoint of assists? There's always a possibility that he draws one defender, or maybe some set plays are used where he's the fourth to touch the puck (although I would think that in juniors, similar to college, you'd have a motion offense where you're just trying to get someone open). Wood's and DeVito's numbers weren't so hot, but they've done very well at RPI because of the little things on the ice.

Do you know if there are free live streams of USHL games?

I have not seen Moore play. I was basing it on his stats and especially on having one of the poorest +/- on Fargo despite arriving over 20 games into the season. Of course I could be all wrong, and I hope that I am. I also realize that +/- is not the greatest of stats.

There aren't free streams as far as I can tell.

Not to mention, if he's playing on the power play, you don't get a + for scoring on the power play (although you get a - for SHGA). Even on the opportunities where goals are not scored, you can see a lot. Does he have the vision to find an opening? How is his puck control? How is his positioning on the ice to set up?

After a quick search, B2 does the USHL games.
