The August posts on USHR are now available for free. I don't recall if this was paraphrased or posted in its entirety at the time (and I am too lazy to look :) ):

Drew Melanson, 1/10/95, 5-11/160 — Delbarton product is an exceptional skater who is really light on his feet. Is very slight right now which could affect his ability to hold off opponents in the USHL this season as he will suit up for Omaha. NHL teams are looking five to six years down the road, and surely by then the RPI recruit will have bulked up and enhanced his game-breaking speed.

Thanks RB-I suppose they finally caught up with all of my postings about him from the past 2+ years.:rolleyes: Their summary that you quoted is pretty much right on the button.

He should bulk up on the slop available in the freshman dining hall next year. :D

Let's see, four teams are playing today, Lincoln(DeVito and Wood), Sioux Falls (Bourbonnais), Edina (Reno), and Alberni Valley (Tironese). No one on the scoreboard yet.

Summaries in the morning. :)

Much as I hate to say it-freshman year food at RPI was an improvement on my mother's cooking. A really great lady, but she should have never been allowed in the kitchen.

I know the PxP guy said 3 assists for Reno but I'm pretty sure it was 4. The scoreboard at MinnesotaHockeyHub is still in the 2nd period so we'll see later.

In agreement. I saw Reno pass it over to the blue-line dude on the left (don't want to say D partner because it was a 5x3) for a one-timer. I had deleted the post because it wasn't mentioned by the announcer.

Parker Reno – D – Edina – Senior

Commitment: RPI

For our money, one of the more underrated defensemen in high school hockey. Doesn’t have a glaring weakness to his game, has good size at 6’1, and will likely prove to be one of the better MN-raised defenseman in College Hockey for the Engineers in due time. Plays for a talented contender in Edina.
