RPI Recruit Thread 2012-13 (Part III)

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2012-13 (Part III)

Here's a penny's worth of free advice.

When you use four question marks to end a "simple question," it becomes accusatory.

Thus, you are being a dick.

You should stop.

Your reading a little too much into my three extra questions marks RC

Here some good advice for you. You should stop posting, as you are just making yourself look bad, unless you have something of relevance to contribute to the thread and discussion currently at hand.

Well, let's see. Your track record is A) coming onto RPI threads and talking out of your rear end, and B) acting like a know-it-all.

So there's really not much to read into there, is there?

You're a complete waste of space. Do yourself a favor and crawl back into whatever hole it is you crawled out of. Or better yet, just get lost.

Or, perhaps you could start contributing on a level that doesn't include acting like a tool. It's your call.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2012-13 (Part III)

I don't think my two questions of Ralph Baer post(s) has suddenly proclaimed me as the expert on Parker Reno.

Its a simple question and I was just looking for a simple answer from the Baer about the number of times (if any) he has seen Parker Reno play this year.

It sounds as if you are proclaiming yourself an expert, which you might be for all I know.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2012-13 (Part III)

Just what do you think is his primary strength?

And how many games have you actually seen him play this year????
I've watched about a dozen games of Parker Reno. His strength is primarily his defense and his handling of the puck. Can he contribute to the offense?.......sure, who can't. With the offensive weapons he had at Edina this year, Hurley, Munson, Malmquist... to name a few, I thought Reno would've scored more. With that said, there aren't many (if any) D-1 programs that wouldn't want him. Great get for Seth & his staff IMO.

He handles the puck very well especially in traffic. He doesn't seem to get flustered at all. (Add that to my previous post on his strong points.)

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2012-13 (Part III)

One question for thetruthhurts.

What is your allegiance hockeywise? You don't seem to be a fan of one of RPI's rivals or an RPI fan who is fed up with the team or the coach.

Just what do you think is his primary strength?

Defense. (Playing his position and being in the right place at the right time)

Asked and answered.

And how many games have you actually seen him play this year????

None live. About a half dozen on the internet.

Asked and answered.

Well, seeing as how you are the indirectly-self-proclaimed expert on the subject of Parker Reno, perhaps we should ask for your credentials. How many times have you seen him play this year?

Your turn.

Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2012-13 (Part III)

At least we have finally added a little controversy to the thread-it was getting kind of stale here.

Just a fan of hockey, no real allegiance to one particular team, though there are several I'm follow very closely, for personal reasons.

Appert is a good coach, RPI is a good school and they have a promising team, hence the attraction

Thanks for the answer. (That answer didn't hurt, so it can't be the truth. :p )

Your turn.

I have seen Reno play several games over the last three years (in person), elite league, MSHSL, advance 16, 17 and USHL.

This year alone, 6 elite league games, 3 NIT, 7 high school, 1 USHL

Next question...

And what is your opinion as to his strengths and weaknesses?

...wait, what? You've seen him play 17 times this year alone & you come on this thread and ask what Ralph thinks his strengths are? Why didn't you just tell us your opinion before getting into all the verbal sparring.

I'll assume the negative case on this one with a belief that offence is the strength. If that were the case, I'm not sure why he wouldn't be playing forward.

Excellent analysis. :D The fact that he has seen him play at all of these places makes we wonder if thetruthhurts has soon connection to Reno is a scout.

(Interestingly, I was interrupted while making this post by a phone call from an RPI student thanking me for my annual donation. I didn't catch the name.)

Wasn't RKarger or I, I'm sure we would have noticed.
