RPI @ Quinnipiac, Friday 1/11/13

Re: RPI @ Quinnipiac, Friday 1/11/13

Could nit pick about a lot of little things and we were fortunate that QU did not bury their chances-they had several open ones and hit 2 posts. But we hit a post and had a couple odd man rushes ourselves (normally a rarity). Tomorrow we face a different type of team totally-Princeton is big and physical. I do not expect an up and down scrambling game. Not sure if we make any changes or not. We get Kotyra again-usually means a lot of special teams play.

Doc I saw Q dismantle a very good UNO team in that barn two weeks ago....this was a great game by RPI. I normally despise ties, but this was a great effort tonite. Looking forward to the bid for 3 pts. tomorrow night.

What? I saw us trying the same umbrella thing or whatever u call it all night with at least one of our units and it DOES NOT WORK.

That's the scheme where we stand around at the periphery and pass around until we take one shot which is blocked at they go the other way 2 on 1? Yes, we have to stop that. We are starting to get a bit more movement on the PP but having watched now QU, UNH, BU, and on TV last night both Union and Princeton-they do not pass around the periphery-there is constant change of position and movement to make the defender chase you until a lane opens up for a pass or a shot. We seem to be starting to get to that stage-we are getting better at it-and that is what we ought to be doing more of.
