Midway through the 3rd, it's SLU 2, RPI 1 here in Troy. Refs decided they can call penalties against both teams in the same period, after only calling penalties against RPI in the first and against SLU in the second.

Both of SLU's goals were shots van der Bliek could've stopped. First was a shot that she made the initial save on, but then knocked the puck into her own net as she was trying to restabilize herself. Second was a rising shot from the faceoff circle to van der Bliek's left that hit her in the mask and deflected down into the net.

van der Bliek has had some help from her defense, as she's gotten caught at the edge of her crease a couple times, leaving the net open. Gersten had a couple saves in the 1st that were a result of her laying on the edge of the crease as van der Bliek got stuck on the other side of the crease and an SLU player took the puck around the back of the net.
