Re: RPI Pros IV

That's terrifying. Glad York gets the call-up, but you never want that to be the reason. Hope Mason recovers quickly, but Yorkie does so well they decide to keep him!

Re: RPI Pros IV

Hockey News future watch issue has Pirri as #5 Chicago prospect and D'Amigo as #9 Toronto prospect.

Not very familiar with the meanings of those rankings ralph. What sort of chance does a #9 have of actually seeing much ice time with an NHL club? Or for that matter a #5? I know Pirri has been called up for brief stints but does that now mean that there are 4 more likely to be called ahead of him? And how many are forwards? Without any knowledge, i would think that being #9 is not very promising for now.

Pirri #5 is also the fifth forward. JD'A #9 is the fifth forward too (three D and a G ahead of him).

Ah-makes more sense for me now. I assume of course that everyone up with the parent club already is not included in those numbers so that each has 4 forwards listed ahead of them who could be called up.

from the Marlies website.....Gardiner and Frattin are now among the 22 players eligible to play for the Marlies in the Calder Cup Playoffs. Joe Colborne, Nazem Kadri, Jesse Blacker, Jerry D'Amigo, Nicholas Deschamps and Korbinian Holzer are also on that list. They are the guys Poulin, the Leafs' V.P. of Hockey Operations, identifies as the organization's prospects closest to being NHL ready.

Must be a different list. JD'A is after Colborne , Biggs, McKegg, Percy, Blacker, Ross, Holzer, and Scivens (boo!). Pirri is after Saad, McNeill, Morin, and Danault.

I keep forgetting that Deschamps was traded... Why do I keep thinking he's with the Ducks?

Polacek announced as still being out with an injury before tonight's Rivermen game. Starting to wonder if he caught the epidemic that's going around the NHL...

Although on the plus side, it means they're not just sitting him.
