Another great performance, another loss. How many ways can we find a way to lose?? Gawd, this is frustrating...

Sure is. GEtting more and more frustrating every season looking at the standings and we cant seem to escape 10th thru 12th. Is this ever going to end?!!?!!

Great question. If they don't come out to start with their heads up their keyster, maybe the outcome is different.

I was in attendance today and I have to disagree with your assessment. Their start was very poor, the passing was a bit off and defensively they gave the forwards far too much space, particularly on the weak side. All things considered the best you could say was it was a decent performance. I thought they played much better on Friday night, where I was also in attendance.

Princeton had 2 shots on goal in the second period, and their only 2 shots in the third were the 2 empty net goals. All else aside, I think that qualifies as a little more than a decent performance.

GR-Read my wordy post about the game on the regular in season thread. The last 40 minutes (other than the empty net goals in the last 1:40) may well be the best we can possibly play. We actually did not play badly the first 5 minutes of the first-but those 15 minutes in the first where we just seemed to have no air in the balloon were our undoing. This team has a lot of potential and a lot of talent. For whatever reason though-we just do not bury enough shots to be able to afford any lapses and digging out of a 2-0 hole is harder for us because we just do not get the goals even when we play spectacularly.

Re: RPI @ Princeton: Saturday, Jan. 12th

Defense and goaltending were superb this weekend. Just making it more frustrating when we can't put the puck in the net.
It looks like we are just looking for the perfect play to score instead of taking high quality shots on the rush.
The one play where we made the perfect pass accross the crease, the Princeton goalie made a spectacular save.
This must be very frustrating for the players. I really think that they just have to come out shooting at every opportunity and get in place for rebounds. Dirty goals are what we need, not perfect plays. JMO
