Re: RPI Pick to Click 2014-15: Under New Management

With Leonard out for violation of team rules (and also ineligible because I'm brilliant), I'll switch to Chris Bradley today.

Re: RPI Pick to Click 2014-15: Under New Management

Change my RPI pick for Saturday from Nanne to Zach Schroeder (unless he gets hurt tonight, God forbid!).

Re: RPI Pick to Click 2014-15: Under New Management

RPI - Viktor Liljegren
Miami - Riley Barber

Hang on a sec, violation of team rules is the same as a healthy scratch, not an injury. I'm pretty sure that according to the rules, you have to stick.

Yeah... I was going by my own "err on the side of changing and wait for an official decision" suggestion. Of course Bradley had to go and score and make it actually be a decision with meaning. While I believe that an official (NCAA- or ECAC-imposed) suspension would allow the alteration of a pick, a team-imposed suspension shouldn't count. Too bad for me.

Of course, my goalie picks just HAD to be reversed...

Nope, healthy scratches are not able to be repicked.

Nope, the Nanne injury was known prior to the start of the "weekend", and thus unable to be repicked. Not that it mattered.

Nope, you had weeks to make picks and I'm not going to let you slip in late ones for half the weekend. If you end up losing the contest by five points, you can yell at me.

RKarger also attempted to make repicks, but since the relevant injuries were available on twitter hours before puck drop on Tuesday, she was unable.

Re: RPI Pick to Click 2014-15: Under New Management

Congrats to RKarger and RHamilton for their spectacular weekly wins, and to all of us for managing to get points even though everyone was injured or at WJC or suspended and we knew nothing beforehand.

In Tuesday's drubbing by Harvard, either RPI goal scorer would have earned you the most possible points (2): Drew Melanson (RKarger, RHamilton, hawthr) and Zach Schroeder (no one). The Crimson performed a little better with two skaters, Jimmy Vesey (ineligible) and Tyler Moy (no one), earning 4 PtC points with their performance.
The Engineers kept it closer on Friday, and Chris Bradley (no one) picked up 3 PtC points in the loss. Miami's Riley Barber (RKarger, RHamilton, rsfs04, vizoroo, RPIHFH) potted two goals, including the game winner, and was the best skater on the ice for the RedHawks.
Finally, Jason Kasdorf (no one) picked up the quality start and was the only Engineer worth anything in the shutout loss on Saturday. Speaking of shutouts, Jay Williams (no one) earned 5 PtC points and was the best player all weekend. Miami's best skater on Saturday was Cody Murphy (engineerhockeyfan), who scored two goals.

Link back to the first post with details on scoring

Back to a normal ECAC weekend as RPI makes the long road trip to face the kitty cats, heading to Quinnipiac on Friday and Princeton on Saturday. Hopefully we'll pick up a point or two, given that Princeton is the worst team in the conference.

Picks must be in by 7:00 ET on Friday.

You may NOT choose the following players for this game:
RPI: Drew Melanson and Curtis Leonard
Quinnipiac: Sam Anas and Devon Toews
Princeton: Ben Foster (Note: Aaron Kesselman has an identical stat line of 2-3–5, but Foster has more ECAC points, which I've just now decided is the second tiebreak)

Statistics and Rosters
RPI: Statistics | Roster
Quinnipiac: Statistics | Roster (Beware C. / T. Clifton, B. / C. Pieper, J. / N. Renouf, and D. / L. Smith confusion)
Princeton: Statistics | Roster

How the heck did that happen? Oh heck, for that particular game, give me Liljegren. Something tells me he's on the rebound.

Re: RPI Pick to Click 2014-15: Under New Management

I'm still missing 6 of you with 6 hours, 50 minutes remaining until puck drop.

Also, FlagDUDE, I take it you're going for the double QS since you're so sure tonight will be a tie?
