RPI Pick to Click 2014-15: Under New Management

Re: RPI Pick to Click 2014-15: Under New Management

WE BEAT UNION!!! TWICE!!! My sarcastic self-deprecation was clearly the key, as I won the weekend and jumped back into first (the fix is back on, people). Every poster but the commissioner emeritus (sorry burgie) got at least one point, though no one hit the proverbial jackpot with Bourbonnais' hatty.

As I just said, RPI's best point producer Friday night was Riley Bourbonnais (no one) with his first, second, and third NCAA goals. The most valuable (eligible) Dutchman was Nick DeSimone (no one), who earned an assist on Vecchione's goal for two PtC points. Jason Kasdorf (no one) earned a quality start. Colin Stevens (FlagDUDE08, MavHockey14) did not.
Saturday was a lower scoring affair, with Engineers Mark McGowan (1 G; no one), Viktor Liljegren (1 G; vizoroo and engineerhockeyfan), Curtis Leonard (1 A; lugnut92), and Jason Kasdorf (QS; no one) all earning two PtC points. Spencer Foo (1 G; Ralph Baer) and Colin Stevens (QS; rsfs04) were each worth two PtC points for the Dutchmen.

Link back to the first post with details on scoring

Well that was fun! The ECAC schedule continues as RPI hosts the colorful Ivies in the first full weekend of ECAC play. Harvard and Dartmouth are both 0-0-1 after the first half of their home-and-home series ended in a 3-3 tie.

Picks must be in by 7:00 ET on Friday.

You may NOT choose the following players for this game:
RPI: Lou Nanne
Harvard/Dartmouth: Everyone is eligible!

Sorry, I was at a departmental retreat on Friday and then traveling to RPI for the weekend's games. Scoring will be up soon.

Re: RPI Pick to Click 2014-15: Under New Management

Congrats to FlagDUDE08 on his third weekly win of the season (remember how his strategy wasn't going to work any more?). Everybody who submitted picks this week scored at least one point. RPI maintained their spot at the top of the ECAC standings, though a couple of teams have better win percentages.

Once again, RPI allowed an opposing goalie, this time Steve Michalek (FlagDUDE08), to earn 5 PtC points with a shutout of the Engineers. As for Harvard skaters, Jimmy Vesey (2 G; Ralph Baer, engineerhockeyfan, lugnut92, vizoroo, rsfs04) and Patrick McNally (2 A; TuteScrooge, RPI fan 4 life, RKarger) both earned 4 PtC points. As I've said too many times before, no Engineer was worth anything on Friday.
On Saturday, Milos Bubela (1 G; no one), Zach Schroeder (1 G; no one), Craig Bokenfohr (1 A; no one), and Jason Kasdorf (QS; no one) were each worth 2 PtC points (great job, guys...). On the other side of the ice, Jesse Beamish (1 G; no one), Brett Patterson (1 A; no one), and James Kruger (QS; FlagDUDE08) were also worth 2 PtC points.

Not one to complain, but how did I only get 3 points when my player had 4 on Friday and one more on Saturday? Just wondering.

Because I screwed up and only had McNally down for one assist! I'll modify the original scoring post.

Re: RPI Pick to Click 2014-15: Under New Management

I'll actually put my picks in this week. Realized during the game Friday...gah.

You only updated 2 of the 3 who picked McNully. Considering whom you forgot, you could be in hot water. :D
