We are down to only 2 in the house and it actually feels extremely lonely and empty. Sirius Black we have now had for 3+ years and he is only now coming into his own. pretty soon it will be his house and we will be paying him rent. Jezebel is now 19 and 5 months. At that age, you never know what will happen as they can hide most illnesses until it is far too late. We lost both her brothers (Adirondack cats) in the last two years. Hamish (named for an RPI player) and Tiberius (named for who you might have expected) both made it to age 16 and 18. We have been saving cats and dogs for many years but as Jenny and I hae gotten older, we find that dogs have just become far too difficult for us to manage effectively.

Both Jen and I firmly believe in that. We no longer have any heir so much of what we have is donated to animal causes. Some people do not understand but we know that thousands of cats and dogs are put to sleep daily in this country and we just find that too much to ignore.
Anyone have the total face off statistics? Today seems even worse than yesterday
