Re: RPI Offseason Thread: Six Languages of Drivel

This isn't hockey-related, but Maj. Gen. Harold Greene, recently killed in Afghanistan, was an RPI graduate, class of 1980.

The Harrisburg Patriot-News printed quotes from people who knew him at the Army War College in Carlisle, PA. One person said of Gen. Greene that, although he had a Ph. D. in engineering, he had a way of being able to explain his concepts in terms that you didn't need a Ph. D. in engineering to understand.

Which, I guess, is a good way for an RPI graduate to be remembered.

It's more hockey related than you know. Harry is my brother. He is also a passionate RPI hockey fan. Regardless of where he was stationed he could be counted on to stream the audio (or video if the Internet connection was good enough) of almost every game. He would also trade his military uniform for a jersey and find his way back to HFH at least 1-2 times per year. From now on he'll just be watching the Engineers from a slightly higher seat.

My condolences rpi82. From everything I’ve read about him the last 2 days he sounded like a guy I would’ve loved to have met.

Does anyone know when individual game tickets go on sale. I think that it is usually around 10/1.

.....just called the box office RB. The woman said, probably around 9/26-29. She said it’s generally around 1 week before the exhibition game.
